Re: RA8000 failed disk
The HSG does not automatically revert back to the old configuration - you need to do that manually.
The first step for a successful recovery is to get an idea what state your system is in. Can you capture the output of the following commands, store it in a simple .TXT file (no Word document, please!) and paste it as an attachment?
- show disks full
- show mirrorsets full
- show stripesets full
- show raidsets full
- show concatsets full
- show units full
- show failedset
- show spareset

Re: RA8000 failed disk
The locate command can also make a disk or storage set blink.
Run the command
locate cancel
and see if that does anything.
Which disk is blinking? (what shelf, what position)
All RAIDsets and Mirrorsets are showing normal.
The AUTOSPARE switch only means that when a disk is removed from the FAILEDSET it goes automatically into the SPARESET.
The sparing policy for the raid and mirrorsets define wheter it uses a spare or not when a member fails.
Regards,
Stephen
