RAC HPUX - Add logical volume to existing config

I have congigured a RAC with Oracle 9iR2 and HP-UX OS.
I have a vgdb of 50Gb, and some logical volumes with total size of 30Gb.
I would like to add a new tablespace in the database.When I am going to create the new lv in the vgdb my OS displays vgdb is active in Shared Mode.
I de-activate the VG and I cannot create the LV.
What should I do?
