Redundant ISL between Brocade switches
Hi All,
I have 4 Brocade switches connected into 2 fabrics , via 1 ISL between the 2 swicthes in the fabric.
I would like to put a second ISL for redundancy (not for trunking as dont have license).
I tried plugging in the fibre but nothin happened, the ports did not chnage to an E port or anything...what am I missing.
Each fabric has
1 x silkworm 500 fabric os : 6.1.0c (32 port all licensed)
1 x Silkworm HP2 (embedded brocade that comes with EVA 4400) fabric OS:6.1.0_8e
Any help is much appreciated

Re: Redundant ISL between Brocade switches
Ensure that the ports are not member of any zone. Have you tried running the portdisable/portneable commands?
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: Redundant ISL between Brocade switches
Check the Port Speed, do a portenable and portdisable.
