Hi there,
I'm having a bit of fun with RSM 2.1 and was wondering if anybody here can help.
On a DL380 W2K3 Storage server, I have a dual port FC2243 4GB fibre card running 5-5.20A10 mini-port driver with 2.10A7 firmware. On this server I have installed RSM server 2.1.142 as well as the latest MPIO and RSM HostAgent software and patch (2.0.3). All installed OK and without displaying any errors.
So, in my RSM gui, I have imported the host all OK and can see my EVA6000 as well as a DL585 running the same hostagent software but with 2 x 2GB Qlogic cards installed instead.
Now if I take a look at the host server properties for the DL585, I can see details for both Qlogic cards, but when I look at the DL380, I see nothing at all listed and because of this, I can't present any snapshots created through RSM (I have disks mounted from the EVA to the DL380 without any issues at all).
Has anybody seen this before or has an server with the same cards in working OK?
I have attempted to get another server with the same Emulex cards and drivers to work and have the same issue - is this a bug I wonder?
Thanks for reading
Mark

Solution
Mark:
Have you tried the newer driver?
I think it is at 5-5.30a2 for October. It looks like you have the August release.

Re: RSM question
Steven,
Thanks for the pointer - I compared my version to that on SPOCK and it seems that SPOCK is a bit out of date.
ANyhow, I have just applied this version of the driver and also re-installed the RSM host agent just to be sure and it all works now
Once agin - thanks for you help
