Secure Path v3.0F active-passive with EVA6000
Hi,
We have some rx2620 servers / HP-UX 11.23 and SecurePath v3.0D with EVA5000 volumes.
The EVA5000 is currently replaced by an EVA6000.
We have upgrade Secure Path to v3.0F SP1 active-passive option.
The active-active option can't be installed with the web upgrade kit (it requires the full v3.0F CD version).
Are the new EVA6000 Vdisks supported with only the active-passive option or do we need to buy again the new Secure Path option ?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards.

Re: Secure Path v3.0F active-passive with EVA6000
Caby,
EVA6000 only supports active/active.
But you can also use pvlinks instead of Securepath.
If you use pvlinks you don't need a securepath license.

Re: Secure Path v3.0F active-passive with EVA6000
But without the Secure Path v3.0F upgrade (in active / passive mode), HBA's WWN aren't see by Command View EVA on the EVA6000.
Does pvlinks require something else (like minimum patch bundle) ?

Re: Secure Path v3.0F active-passive with EVA6000
Hi,
The version of SP used on EVA6000 is different from the version for EVA5000.
What you need to do is:
1. Uninstall Secure Path
2. re-install SP v3.0D, choosing the "VA, XP Array option". I know that you are using an HSx array, but this is the way it must be done.
3. Install the web upgrade 3.0F
