Hi,
First time I had anything to do with SecurePath was yesterday, so this may appear to be a very simple question but hopefully somebody will answer it for me.
I upgraded SecurePath 2.1d to 3.0b on a Solaris 8 system.
On completion the content of the /opt/CPQswsp/device.xref is
c1t ->
c1t0d0 -> c3t0d0
c1t1d0 -> c3t1d0
I've attached the /etc/vfstab file.
My question is, "Do I have to alter anything in the vfstab file ?"
Many thanks
Mark

Mark,
We just upgraded to 3.0b over the weekend from 3.0. I don't find the device.xref file anywhere but I don't think that's important. Your vfstab only references Volume Manager volumes so strictly speaking, no changes are required. To answer your question, secure path should have not changed any device files or names so no changes should be required. If your system is working as it should then the upgrade did what it should have. Was this an upgrade or did you remove the 2.1d package and install 3.0b?

Re: SecurePath Upgrade & the 'device.xref' file
Hi Spike,
I ran a straight upgrade procedure. Didnt remove and install.
Thanks for confirming my initial thoughts. The machine has been running without probs for a month now & has been rebooted on several occasions now. So all would appear to be OK.
