Simulate connection to SAN switch
I'm setting up a new Sun BOX (Solaris 8). I've installed the HBA cards (FCA2257P), patched the box (as required by SecurePath), and is now ready to install SecurePath. However, I can't proceed because the SANswitches needs firmware updates before the SUN box can be connected to it. So I wanted to how I can configure the SUN box to simulate connection to the SAN. In NT, we are able to this by adding some registry keys to the NT box. Is there also a way to the same thing on the SUN box?

Re: Simulate connection to SAN switch
I've never heard of any way of doing this. Perhaps you can ask Sun for some insight. I understand they have a forum something like this (of course, it can't be nearly as good! ;-}) Maybe you can find some answers there.
