If you get a chance and want to provide some input to HP, please take a moment and fill out this survey.
Thanks!
Berlene
1. What is the largest number of LUNs currently configured on a system?
What do you expect this will grow to in 5 years?
2. What is the largest number of LUNs currently connected to a Host bus adapter?
What do you expect this will grow to in 5 years?
3. What is the largest number of LUNs currently configured on a single arrays?
What do you expect this will grow to in 5 years?
4. How many I/O paths have you configured per LUN for multi-pathing or path failover?
What do you expect this will grow to in 5 years?
5. What is size of your largest file system today?
What do you expect this will grow to in 5 years?
6. What is the most disk arrays or JBODs connected to a single server?
What do you expect the number to be in 5 years.
7. What is the biggest storage capacity (TB) connected to on a single server?
What do you expect the number to be in 5 years.
Thanks!

Re: Storage Scalability b, Customer requirements survey
Hi Berlene,
Fortunately for us we don't run systems with huge amount of disk, but you may loke to know what a smaller shop runs.
1) 72 + hardware mirroring + BCV
yes, this system is expected to be 5 times that.
2) 36
yes, again X 5
3) 180 -/+ (8.8 Gb LUN's) This particular array will be maxed out before end of the year (EMC 8530)
4) 2 (utilising EMC powerpath)
no
5) 150 gb
no (I think if they are too big it makes them harder to manage, besides most our databases utilise raw lv's)
6) 2
yes - up to 5
7) 3 TB
Once this particular env is fully rolled out, 15-20TB
Cheers
Michael
