Va7110 host connection

Hi Guys ,

Sorry .. am repeating my query again here.

Does VA7110 allow single connection from a host? or do i need to have two connections from the host to disk array (Two HBA on host system + Secure Path S/W )

Im basically wanting a direct connection from a windows host to the VA7110 without using switch. Is this possible using a single FC cable from my Windows host to the VA7110 or Do i need as a minimum configuration Two connections from Host to VA7110 ?

Hi

You don't have to put two connections to your server. It is supportable, although you won't have redundancy or load balacing for more performance.

If you will connect directly, you must configure the VA port in Private Loop.
