I can see the VA7400 LUN's from my K460 HPUX 10.2 but do not see the size correctly. LUN = 10gig but see 10mg. Using SAM to configure LV. Any ideas?

Re: VA7400 and HPUX 10.2
The version of SDM I run doesn't run on 10.20, only 11.00 and 11i. So how did you configure a lun on the VA7400?
Hey, if it works, why not, eh?
You will probably need to update, manually, /etc/disktab.

Solution
Roy,
I recently went through this with the VA7100. Here's the deal:
CommandView SDM is only supported on HP-UX 11.00 and above. Because the ArmServer is required for the interrogation of the array, SAM doesn't understand what it's looking at and the multiple paths when using a switch are represented incorrectly although ioscan sees them properly. Once a Volume Group, Logical Volumes, and file system are created on the LUNS (configured manually), SAM will see the size a little better although it will probably show it's use as unused.
Be absolutely sure that you have the latest SAM/OBAM patch, ioscan patch, WSIO SCSI patch as these effect sequential LUN numbering, etc. While the VA7x00 is supported on HP-UX 10.20, it is not seen correctly (in my experience) in SAM. Also do a search for the latest firmware for your K-Class and note that the fibre HBA you are most likely using (A6685A)is not supported in slot number 10/0 or 10/8 which is the core I/O.
HTH,
Dave
