Hi
I have an EVA3000 SAN and my vendor is currently upgrading the Command View EVA from 4.1 to 5.1.
On starting the install, setup asked him if he would like to install SMIS but he canceled it.
Could someone point to what SMIS is and why I should or shouldn't use it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: What is SMIS?
CV-EVA does not use SMI-S to talk with the EVA controllers - that protocol is called SCMI is EVA-proprietary. WEBES uses the CV-EVA interface which is nick-named 'Borg'.
SMI-S is not required for this basic stuff.
