HPE Ezmeral UA 1.2 Error: Error validating domainname from ezkfWorkloadDeploy

Hello All,

Trying to install HPE Ezmeral UA 1.2, with local DNS, Self Siged Cert and all time I got the following error. Any idea ?

I've checked DNS resolution, try reinstall servers and DNS Server, nut the issue persist.

Tks!

Re: HPE Ezmeral UA 1.2 Error: Error validating domainname from ezkfWorkloadDeploy

For those who come across this.

This error is related to the UA cluster not having it's own DNS subdomain.... yeah i know...

Lets say your current domain is:  data-east.company.com
You need to specify a new domain for the UA build:  ua.data-east.company.com and then create an 'A' wildcard record that points to your cluster gateway hosts.  Something like this:   ua.data-east.company.com - 10.10.10.123, 10.10.10.124 and also *.ua.data-east.company.com - 10.10.10.123, 10.10.10.124.

When you kick off the initial install via the UI and hit the 'installation details' section ensure to populate the 'domain name' param as this DNS subdomain.

The next question is 'what are my gateway nodes?' yeah another HPE UA 'feature', you don't find that out until the installation is complete.  Once complete the UI will list out the DSN resolver requirements which show you're gateway details.

This whole thing I feel was not covered well enough in the latest docs (UA 1.2) and for me involved a support ticket.

Anyway,
Hope this helps.

Steve.
