Change boot sequence of an existing Instance using a different VirtualImage

Hi,

I am new to the platform and currently exploring its features and capabilities. I have a question regarding boot configuration:

Is it possible to change the boot sequence of an existing instance and use a different VirtualImage to boot from? If so, what would be the recommended approach to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

An instance is already a VM, so there is not really a concept of changing the Virtual Image. If you’re deploying with an ISO, you would have to delete and redeploy with the correct ISO.

@cbunge
There are many use cases when an existing VM (with its data) has to be modified by booting from a different Virtual Image. It looks that it is currently not possible.

Just to be sure we’re talking the same thing. You boot the same vm, multiple times, from different ISOs?

Yes, That’s what I want to achieve for a specific task.
