Hi, In VME is there an EVC mode like in VMware? Is it possible to have hosts with different processor generations in a cluster? If so, is live migration of VMs possible?
Thanks!

Re: EVC mode in VME
Hello
To acheive same functionality as in EVC we need to have
CPU MODEL as "host-passthrough"
above can be checked/set under:
Infrastructure >Cluster > edit (Pencil button)

Re: EVC mode in VME
Thank you very much for your response.
Can you confirm that it's possible to perform a live migration between machines with different processor generations?

SolutionEVC in the VME is over the CPU model, you need for that to run on all servers in that cluster an "virsh capabilities | grep -i model" and based on that you need to choose the lowest CPU model in that cluster. with that settings the VM should be able to migrate between the hosts with different CPUs.
