Management network changes to "non-active" automatically

When you deploy an HVM, a network called "Management" is automatically created. Since you want to connect VMs to this network, you want to set "Management" to "Active." However, even if you manually set it to Active, the Active status is automatically unchecked after a while.
If I want to use the management network for a VM, is it necessary to configure the "Compute VLAN" when deploying the manager VM? I don't understand the role of the "Compute VLAN" specified when deploying the manager VM, so if necessary, I would appreciate it if you could explain in detail.

Re: Management network changes to "non-active" automatically
Hello Shiba9967,
the "Compute VLAN" while deploying the VME manager is only to be used if you VME IP is in a VLAN that is outside of the Management Network and assigned in another VLAN. In that case the installer will already create you the compute router + network and put the VME assigned to that VLAN. For example, my ubuntu hosts are running inside of the VLAN6 network with 192.168.6.x and I am tagging them on the bond0.6, while my VME is running in the VLAN7 network with 192.168.7.x. I have defined my 2nd pair of NICs as bond1 and use in the VME Manager setup for the management uplink bond0.6 and enable the "Use Compute VLAN" and enter bond1 with VLAN ID 7. You will see in the /etc/netplan an 61-mvm-compute.yaml file been created. The compute network require always a VLAN ID. But if your VME Manager is inside of the IP range of the management, the "Use Compute ..." is not to be selected.
