VM Essentials on DL380 gen 10 and 10plus

I know that VM Essentials has only been certified for DL380gen11, but can I run it on a customer's older DL380 Gen10 and Gen10plus servers? Since the base for VM Essentials is Ubuntu and the VM Manager is Morpheus, I don't think it should be a problem.

Back Story: The customer bought 6 x new DL380 Gen11 servers, and will be re-using the existing VMware licenses, but they cannot afford to buy 4 more VMware licenses to keep the older servers running on VMware as well

Yes, you can install and configure VME essential on  DL380 Gen10 and Gen10plus servers. HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen 10+ is certified server. refer :  https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=dp00005501en_us&docLocale=en_US
