dHCI ESXi image

Hi

My shipped dHCI came with a old ESX version and I just reinstalled it with a HP ESXi before running the Wizard.

Now the Wizard doesn't add the host because SCM is missing.

Where do I find the dHCI ESXi iso, so I can reinstall with the correct version ?

Thx

Re: Query: dHCI ESXi image

Hi

Thx for quick answer.

This looks pretty much just like the normal HPE ESXi image. Does it contain the extras for dHCI or am I missing something.

7.0 U3 have been pulled by VMware. If this is a special dHCI image, could you please share the link to 7.0U2.

Thx

Re: Query: dHCI ESXi image

Hi there.

There is no special ISO needed for dHCI.

You will need to download the SCM software from infosite and use the VIB command to install the SCM software.

The lastest verion of SCM is: HPE-Storage-Connection-Manager-for-VMware-7.0-7.0.2-700014.zip

Use the following steps to install this package.

Put the host into maintenance.
Copy of the zip file to the local datastore under /tmp (you can use filezila)
loging as root via putty
type: esxcli software vib install -d /tmp/HPE-Storage-Connection-Manager-for-VMware-7.0-7.0.2-700014.zip (no reboot will be require)
remove host for maintenaince

I hope this helps with your issue.

Please note that dHCI setup script will change all you root passwords on ESXi once imported.
