Hello,
My company has purchased a Nimble HF20 from a company that removed it from service prior to support expiring. Warranty and support on this unit are valid through Sept 2024. Is it possible to transfer the warranty and support contract from the previous owner? They are willing to provide any assistance required for this process.
I've done some googling but can't find any record of a process for HPE to enable ownership transfer.
Thanks!

SolutionHi Vebba,
Support is not transferable and if the array is not purchased through an HPE partner, normal process is that recertification is also required (chargeable to the customer).
SN and more details of the situation would be required in order for us to provide any further process.
Please contact our support team via phone to know more details.
Regards,

Re: HPE Nimble ownership and support transfer?
I do understand I am late to reply to it, for the benefit of others who may have same questions, below is the answer
Unfortunately, there is no option to transfer ownership of the array to a different company. The only exception is, if there is a renaming of legal entity or an aquisition involved. (Relevant documents are needed).
If you have purchased the array from a different company/ecommerce platforms including ebay, the array needs to be re-certified by HPE for continued support. SSD wear levels will be checked as part of recertification.
A support case should be created to initiate process for recertification.
