Nimble AF40 fibre channel connections
Our AF40 is supplied with a 1 Quad 16G FC
From the start, the SAN has only used two 16G ports, while the remaining two are not connected to FC switches (HPE SN3000B 24/24)
There are four cumpute nodes, HYPER-V, using the AF40 as storage, each with one FC connection to each FC switch.
How would you analyze to see if there is performace gain in connecting the remaining two AF40 FC ports to the FC switches - one in each.
Thanks!

Re: Nimble AF40 fibre channel connections
Hi,
Make a note of the current throughput, IOPS and latency on the hosts connected via two 16G ports.
Then try running benchmark test with the extra ports connected to the FC swithces to see the difference in metrics mentioned above. This should give you data on whether the additional connections provide any performance gains.
