Nimble SAN - Change replication Partner - best practice
Hello,
I am migrating off some older Nimble SAN's to newer Nimble SANS. The old Nimble SAN is a replication partner from a remote site. I want to change the remote site to replicate to the new Nimble SAN.
Is there a way to do this without having to do a full replication to the new SAN? For instance, can I replicate the replicated volume from the OLD SAN to the New SAN first and then change the replication partner on the remote site to replicate to the new SAN.
Thanks,
Marty

Re: Nimble SAN - Change replication Partner - best practice
I think using storage clustering should be much easier.
Simply add the new Nimble to existing old Nimble's group with its own pool, then perform volume move for all the replica volumes to new pool.
During volume move the replication relationship thus able to maintain, and once replicas volumes had moved to the new Nimble array, evacuate the old array from the cluster group and new Nimble can configured as group leader, all set!!
