Device unreachable/unpingable
What are the limitations of HPEOV if server is inaccessable/dead (no power to blade/DL etc including iLO 4/5) can/will OV send a support ticket to HPE? What about a hardware critical fault with iLO still accessable, will it send a case to HPE support? Would assume third party software such as SCOM will have to be utilized for unaccessable/pingable devices. I'm thinking I just answered my own question but wanted to be clear.
Thanks!

Re: Device unreachable/unpingable
Hi,
Verify the features available for Managed and monitored devices by Oneview.
Refer to Server hardware management features and Server hardware monitoring features in below documents.
OV 6.60 Support Matrix:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00001291en_us&page=s_server-features-comp-cic.html
HPE OneView 7.0 Support Matrix:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00001703en_us&page=s_server-features-comp-cic.html
In regard to case Logging case with HPE Support:
Remote support is integrated into HPE OneView. By enabling remote support on the Settings screen, you can securely monitor the devices for hardware failures, support cases, service events, warranty and contract information, and expiry alerts. New equipment added to HPE OneView is automatically connected and monitored.
Remote support is available with supported devices as part of your warranty or contractual support agreement. It provides intelligent event diagnosis, and automatic, secure submission of hardware event notifications to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which initiates a fast and accurate resolution based on the service level of your product. Hewlett Packard Enterprise strongly recommends that you register your device for remote support.
