HPE Oneview appliance first time boot options
Hello,
I'm trying to boot an HPE Oneview appliance in KVM and I'm always getting to a point where the instance reports to be run into an 'unrecoverable error'.
In a different setup this works. The only difference I can think about is that in the case where it's failing I'm booting it with a fixed IP address already configured for the instance.
So, my question is, does the first boot have to occur through DHCP?
Thanks
Gerardo

Re: HPE Oneview appliance first time boot options
Hello,
Based on the statement above, it appears that the OneView is unable to boot and is experiencing an unrecoverable error. I recommend opening a support case with HPE, as this issue will require analysis. Additionally, I hope you have a valid backup of the appliance.
cheers...

How are you attempting to boot with a fixed IP address? We do not offer a method to inject or embed a static IP address within the VM image.
