Make the export of the "server firmware inventory" useful
Hi everyone,
i am trying to find out if there is a vulnerable version of agentless mgmt on my servers.
And again i thought OneView could help me with this... well it does not.
It has all the data .. i can export it .. and get it in the worst format possible
1 line .. per server .. and then 3 lines with ALL software and versions and stuff. You cannot report anything with this file. No line is even fitting on a decent size monitor!
How can i transform it (with PowerBI or the data feature in Excel) into a format where i can filter on column to "agentless" and get all data i need?
Thanks if anyone has input on this. Why has it always be so complicated?
BR

Re: Make the export of the "server firmware inventory" useful
It is possible to create a formula for the line item of interest and then base a pivot table on that. It will provide a pretty nice table showing each server grouped by the version of the one component of interest. However-- I'm horrible at forumlas and pivot tables, so I can't provide quality examples.
ack to the challenge here.. ..the format is less than flexible. The assumption is that you'll use the RESTful API to pull what you need if the reports don't have it.

Re: Make the export of the "server firmware inventory" useful
someone sent me an excel example but i can't attach here. it uses 6-7 formulas to process the text and then use in a pivot. if i can figure out how to share somewhere, i'll let you know.

Do not need it anymore - managed it with REST API and Postman & PowerBI
