Missing DNS Name in notification mail details
I use OneView 8..90 with two network interfaces. The primary network is connected to the managed and monitored devices and the second is used for access the OneView webinterface..These two networks are separate from each other.
In the alert notification mails is placed a "Details" link. In this link the IP from the primary network is used instead of the DNS name of the OneView Host.. This is not very useful because i can not access the devices network directly. Can anybody help?

Re: Missing DNS Name in notification mail details
@Rakesh0404 Hello OneView User and Admins,
Can you please tell me whether the FQDN or the ip address of the oneview appliance is displayed in the alert notification mail under the "details"-link?
Many Thanks for your support.

Re: Missing DNS Name in notification mail details
Hi,
The alert notification emails typically include a "details" link that directs the recipient to more information about the alert. This "details" link usually contains the FQDN of the OneView appliance if it has been configured with an FQDN. If the appliance is not configured with an FQDN, the IP address of the appliance might be displayed instead.

Re: Missing DNS Name in notification mail details
@Rakesh0404 We have two installations, one per location (8.80 and 8.90). Both appliances are configured with a FQDN and proper DNS, but instead the FQDN only the IP is shown in the details link on both. From the case i opened HPE told me that is not configurable (already known) and i can do a feature request. Although, i sent HPE the requested support dump was not told to me if in the details link with ip or FQDN should the default display. I also did a fresh test installtion (V 8.90) with FQDN and the details link contains again the ip instead of FQDN.

Re: Missing DNS Name in notification mail details
Funny that they call it a feature request. it should have been a basic default behaivure for such mature product .
we all point to Servers FQDN to avoide SSL Warning page, as only the server FQDN registed in the server SSL certificate .
