oneview check for firmware updates error

Issue:  Unable to remove the following updates: Gen10 Service Pack for ProLiant 2021.10.1, Gen9 Service Pack for ProLiant 2021.10.1. (CDS_037)
Resolution : Visit the listed resources and examine the task results and follow the resolution steps listed there.

I don't seem to have these anywhere. Any ideas how to fix this?

Re: oneview check for firmware updates error

If the firmware bundle are not present in one view and the alert are seen, Suggest to clear alerts and check.
Last resort to rebooting the one view and check.

Re: oneview check for firmware updates error

Thanks, but the firmware bundles are not present and the alert for this is locked and can not be cleared. I rebooted and it's still locked. What are the next steps? thanks again.

Re: oneview check for firmware updates error

Since it is a locked alert, needs to be cleared in maintenance console. Please log a case with HPE for assistance on the same.

Re: oneview check for firmware updates error

thanks...i did and this is what was said....just sharing in case others have this issue.

Advisory: (Revision) HPE OneView - An Error Message Will Appear During Check for Updates and OneView Will Attempt to Delete HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) Details That Were Not Downloaded

An error occurs during the "Check for updates" process after a new HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) is discovered, the details for SSP may not be downloaded correctly. This may not show any external symptoms until the SSP becomes obsolete, at which point, OneView will attempt to delete the SSP details from the appliance.

When this issue occurs, the check for updates will fail when attempting to delete the SSP details. Then error messages similar to the following examples will be displayed:

Issue: Unable to remove the following updates: Gen10 Service Pack for ProLiant 2021.10.1, Gen9 Service Pack for ProLiant 2021.10.1. (CDS_037)
Resolution : Visit the listed resources and examine the task results and follow the resolution steps listed there.

Until OneView 8.60, check for updates only removes or adds the headers to the service pack, when the service pack becomes obsolete or new ones are released. In addition, check for updates will not download the actual software files in the service pack itself. Both the addition or deletion of these service pack pointers in the check for updates will not impact the service packs locally or the uploaded to the OneView firmware repository.

This issue can occur with both HPE Synergy and c7000 BladeSystem so the issue can apply to both service packs SPP and SSP.

In OneView 8.70, a feature is available where the check for updates service pack versions will be visible in OneView –> Server Hardware –> update firmware options. However, stale entries may still appear because of the update firmware returning with an error.

In all scenarios, this issue only impacts the SPP and SSP service pack information downloaded from the HPE cloud via OneView check for updates feature and does not impact the SPP and SSP service packs that were uploaded locally to OneView.

SCOPE
Any HPE OneView Version 6 or Version 7 with any HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) or HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP).

RESOLUTION

The issue will be corrected in a future HPE OneView version.

The issue is under investigation.

NOTE : We would check for much more details if we find any further .
