OneView Global Dashboard 'Specified domain name has an invalid format'
Hi,
Try to setup a Onview Global Dashboard. Imported into VMware workstation v15, the started without any errormsg.
Using: HPE_OV_Global_Dashboard_1.9_ESXi_Z7550-96752.ova
After login changed the password. Then I have to fill in the network section. I filled everything including FQDN of the hostname but I keep getting this error message in a red box after 6% progress:
'The specified domain name has an invalid format: 'localdomain'
any idea what am I doing wrong?

Re: OneView Global Dashboard 'Specified domain name has an invalid format'
A fully qualified domain name (FQDN) is the complete domain name for a specific computer, or host, or the appliance on the internet.
The FQDN consists of two parts: the hostname and the domain name.
When connecting to a host (using an SSH client, for example), you must specify the FQDN. The DNS server then resolves the hostname to its IP address by looking at its DNS table.
The host is contacted and you receive a login prompt.
If you are hosting a new appliance, then you need to create a host name in your DNS .

Re: OneView Global Dashboard 'Specified domain name has an invalid format'
Thanks for your answer Kamalji.
As I already stated in my ST I used FQDN and what I didn't mention, but also did was creating a record including pointer record in my DNS.
So it still doesn't work. Any idea?

Re: OneView Global Dashboard 'Specified domain name has an invalid format'
Please log a Support case on this issue. I have started looking at the issue in parallel in the Global Dashboard R&D team but this should be tracked through the Support process.
