OneView - license detail report do not reflect ilo name change
Hello,
We have noticed a problem in the report showing the license details; when an iLO has its name changed, the report still shows the old name in the 'assigned resources'.
We are running OneView 8.5 and if I recall correctly in older versions (like 6.x) it was solved by removing the computer from OneView and then re-adding it and the new iLO name was used in the report but it is not the case anymore. (I have tried with a few servers)
Is there a way to correct this ?

1. Kindly let us know whether you are experiencing this issue on a Gen9 or Gen10 server.
2. Also, please share the iLO firmware version.
3. Kindly remove the server hardware from OneView, reset iLO, and then re-add the server. Afterward, check if the issue persists.
4. If the issue remains the same, kindly share the screenshots.

Hello,
Sorry for my late answer, due to some health problem.
- We have this problem with different generations and models, DL380p Gen8, DL385 Gen10+, XL420 Gen 10, DL380 Gen10, etc...
We have more than 1200 and we have this problem with +/- 10% of them.
- The problem is occuring with all the firmware versions of the iLO
- Removing a server and adding it again doesn't solve the problem, the machine stays licensed/visible with the old iLO name.
Here is an example :
The machine is visible with the ILO<serialnumber> name in the License report.
But on the machine, the name of the iLO is not the one from the report :
I tried to remove the machine and add it again to OneView :
But when you look again at the licensing report, the machine is still visible with the original name :
Searching the report with the right iLO name gives nothing :
I have tried the same procedure on mutliple machines with no good result.
What can we do to resolve the problem ?

I was able to try this out and see the same behavior with it not updating after the name changes or after a remove/readd. For me, was still showing the "original" name from the initial license assignment and never chagned. I'll be passing along to the team...

Thank you, I hope it will be possible to correct this behaviour because it is very annoying for us as the name of the iLO follows the name of the server and this name changes when the server is reassigned to a new project.
