Oneview new composer v2 needs password for v1 backupfile
When following the HPE migratiom guide from replacing v1 composers with v2 composers, I try to restore the OneView backup on the console of the unconfigured v2 composer but it keeps asking me the 'Backup File Passphrase'. No password was given when the backup was taken and I've tried every password from all OneView accounts. Data at rest was off (never been off) when the backup was taken.
What to do? Enabling data at rest and take a new backup with password?

Re: Oneview new composer v2 needs password for v1 backupfile
No, you must DISABLE data at rest.
I can't remember specifically which HPE OneView version started requiring a password for backups, but you must create a backup and restore a backup using the same version-- and that would be one that requires a password.

Re: Oneview new composer v2 needs password for v1 backupfile
I'll apologize that the migration guide was not updated to reflect the requirement to specify a password for the backup. or might lead you down a process that got you into this trouble. Please use the feedback button or email to let us know if we can improve the document.

Re: Oneview new composer v2 needs password for v1 backupfile
In addition to the document update you mentioned, @DanCernese , it would be SUPER helpful if the Oneview backup screen password prompt actually asked for confirmation of your password and then pattern-matched before allowing you to click OK. Would make it MUCH less sceptible to typographical errors during VC replacements such as this and other normal, manual backup operations.

Re: Oneview new composer v2 needs password for v1 backupfile
The field already provides in-line validation of the format. It is an oversight that we only have a singular field here in the UI. We will look at addressing that in a future update. Please know that there won't be a 6.60 release, and will remain as-is, as that release went End of Division Support Dec 31, 2023.
