OneView WAC Windows Admin Center integration

Hello,

I have installed the OneView plugin for Windows Admin Center. It installed correctly, but how do I connect it in WAC?
I have found, that if I connect to the Windows server in WAC I should see HPE OneView in the bar to the left -> but it is non-existent,

Where can I add my OneView instance?
Greetings

Max

@Mr_Techie I just selected the wrong server

But now I've encountered another error.

I have the default self-signed SSL cert on OneView, so now Windows Admin Center doesn't trust it.
I searched how to export it and import it in the trust store, but didn't find an option in Oneview.

I'm getting this error in Windows Admin Center:
Unable to get HPE OneView appliance certificate or trusted communication has failed while connecting to HPE OneView appliance. Please import valid HPE OneView appliance certificate or CA certificate to trust store.

Greetings
Max

Hello Max,

Sorry for the delay, I missed your reply.

The issue you're encountering occurs because the self-signed certificate from HPE OneView is not trusted by Windows Admin Center (WAC) by default. To resolve this, you can export the self-signed certificate from HPE OneView and then import it into the Windows certificate trust store.

Let me know if you need further help

Sadly, I wasn't able to export the certificate / didn't find the option.

So I setup a Windows CA and generated a new trusted cert.

Hi Max,

Setting up a Windows CA and generating a new trusted certificate is a solid approach. With that, you should now have a more secure and trusted setup between your HPE OneView and Windows Admin Center.

If you need any assistance with managing or renewing the certificates or ensuring they're properly configured for other systems, feel free to ask!
