set up a notification email

Hi..

I've been trying to setup a notification email alert using gmail or outlook and it won't accept TLS "secure remote connection cant be established". I also tried STARTTLS port 587 and plaintext port 25 and it always complain about the smpt setting (smtp.gmail.com & smtp-mail.outlook.com for outlook). Please help!

Re: set up a notification email

Hi

Outlook and Gmail are email clients. You have to configure the SMTP server to setup notification from oneview and that server will send the notifications to gmail / outlook.

Re: set up a notification email

have you configured the SMTP server details under Settings > Notifications in one view?

verify if you have specified the SMTP server details.
verify the SMTP server is reachable.

Re: set up a notification email

I have pinged both outlook and Gmail SMTP and they're reachable. For some reason it is not accepting port 587 TLS. I tried 465 STARTTLS and still no luck. I had a Myroom session with a HPE rep and he said give me few day to figure it out.

Re: set up a notification email

Email : Abisoneview@gmail.com
Password: ************
Connection: TLS
Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587

Couldn't attach the picture...

Note: I was trying to add the smtp.gmail.com certificate under Security and It's not accepting it. Outlook, however, was accepted and added.
