Hi,
In my scenario, In oneview we have Server profile template and multiple servers are associated with it. In template we used boot from SDcard but now we have requirement to boot from SAN.
To apply this changes, we connected 1-1 server profile and do the required changes instead of changing in server profile template. Now all servers are showing inconsistence.
As per my understanding now we have to update in Server profile template, but my question is that if I will change in template is it required to powered off the server or it will automatically update in every server profile.

Re: Srever Profile template update - is server required powered off
Making any change in the Server Profile Template will not cause any automatic updates to be performed. An administrator must perform the Update from Template operation in the Action menu. Updates performed from that operation can be Automatic or Manual. Automatic updates from there can be performed while the server is powered on. If any update operation requires a reboot, you have the option to stage those updates, which OneView will tell you.
As you have made changes to the server profiles themselves, just make the same update change in the profile template and then all of the profiles should then report Compliant.
Here are some chapters from the Online Help to review:

Re: Srever Profile template update - is server required powered off
Thank you very much Mr. Christ Ynch,
So, as per my understanding for updating in Sever template will not required any server's shutdown. Once will update in template same as server profile. everything will be ok.
