Unable to deploy ov4vc appliance

I am unable to deploy a functional OneView for vCenter Server appliance to a vCenter 8 U3G instance. 

I fill out the relevant configuration for the appliance, hostname, IP, Mask, DNS etc and the VM gets created. However, on boot the machine never gets an IP address and when I open the console I get prompted to run the 'start' command. Running that just drops me to a menu called 'Support interface (for HPE only)' from where I can do nothing useful. 

Has anyone else seen this, any workarounds?

Looks like a configuration issue.
