Update from template firmware failing on DL380 Gen10's
Oneview version 5.00.02. I created a new custom SPP for DL380 Gen10's using the latest 2020.03 SPP. Uploaded to Oneview and set as the baseline for my template. When I select a profile and do update from template, it will fail after about 15-20 minutes with error "the firmware update operation failed on server xyz due to an unexpected problem". If I look at the profile firmware status drop down, I see the message "stage failed". I've used the same steps to update Gen10's in the past with no issues. So far I've tried with no luck:
- 2 different servers
- Created a new, yet identical, custom spp.
- Tried using full 2020.03 spp
- Manually updated ILO firmware to v2.16
- remove and re-add server to Oneview
- failed back to previous working custom spp
I then booted server from custom spp iso via virtual media and it installed fine
So I'm at a loss.

The error message may occur if a firmware baseline was not added successfully by Smart Update Manager as a Service (SUMaaS) in HPE OneView. This will occur due to an existing instance of SUMaaS that is running.
This issue is resolved by upgrading to HPE OneView version 5.00.01 (or later).

Looks like in your case issue continued with Oneview version 5.00.02,
This issue need detailed analysis, hence requesting you to please raise support ticket with HPE support team for further investigation.
