HI
Is there a 'how to' video on updating a Gen10 Synergy host running Windows 2016 using the 'firmware and OS drivers using SUT' options. I'm sure it's a lot simpler than it sounds when reading the user guide but (having read the guide) I'm still confused on the process.
- I download and install the latest version of iSUT onto my Windows SY480 Gen10 host
- I download and install AMS onto my Windows SY480 Gen10 host.
- I then need to do some command line stuff (I think) but this is where I get lost.
- What command lines do I run and is it just a one-time requirement?
- The guide seems to indicate that I may need to run a command to set autostage mode and then after that autodeploy mode and then after that autoreboot mode? Do I need to manually run three commands for each host I want to update?
- Is there a setup whereby I can just select the new SPP in the server profile, select the 'firmware and OS drivers' radio button and then select 'OK' for it to deploy? This is all I need to do when selecting the 'firmware only' option (with the host powered off of course) and I'm hoping it will be the same when using SUT but the host remains powered on (and just requires a reboot on completion.
kind regards
C

Re: Using OneView to update firmware and OS drivers using SUT
I think you just need to configure SUT to use 'auto-deploy' mode only
Let us know how you get on.
thanks
