HPE OneView did not receive an expected REST event notification from the server’s iLO

After upgrading to  6.50.00-0452161 we're now seeing these alerts:

HPE OneView did not receive an expected REST event notification from the server’s iLO.

We have a couple of hundred or so servers with a mixture of G5, G6, G8, G9 & G10's with about 40 iLO's giving this error.

Have tried updating firmwares, resetting iLO's and refreshing the devices in OneView however the alerts are persisting.

Any suggestions?

Have tried all of those options as outlined in my original post.

This has not resolved the issue.

This message is related to your Gen10 servers, nothing else. The REST event is only handled and supported with Gen10 and newer. Check what ILO versions you are using. Ensure ILO5 2.60 is installed, as that has some bugs fixed. There is also an upcoming ILO5 release that will address some additional issues 2.60 does not.

Of all the cases I have seen reported thus far, each one has been related to Gen10.  So, you might have a new issue that I'm not sure we have seen before.  Typically, this has to do with the way the adapter does not return specific data that OneView was expecting.  The recommendation of ensuring your iLO is at the current release is still important.

We made some changes in OV (6.40 and 6.50, which you already are at) to handle this situation for Gen10 servers, so this needs to be handled for Gen9 as well. Please open a support case for this so support can help examine this issue further.

Hi again Chris,

must have all been a temporary anomaly.

Since clearing the alerts at the end of last week, I haven't had a single re-occurrence.

Maybe it just took a few days to settle down although it's a bit odd.

Let's see what happens before I open a case.
