Hello,
is there a list of ports which i need to be opened to fully manage a Primera on a remote site?
SSMC, CLI, Quorum, Primera_UI, OV4VC...
(for configuring firewall rules)
Thx!

SolutionThere's not such a list that summarizes all the firewall rules, I think you'd better check the admin guide for each component. See below the list of ports used:
SSMC uses:
- port 8443 for (inbound) connection between client/browser and the SSMC appliance
- port 5783 (outbound) connection to communicate with the array (3PAR/Primera)
- port 443 to communicate with HPE InfoSight
CLI uses:
- port 5783 for secure communication and
- port 5782 for unsecure communication
Quorum:
- Port 8080 used for communication or 8443 if the ssl setting is true
See Updating Quorum Witness firewall settings for IPv4
Primera_UI
- Uses WSAPI port 443

Re: list of ports for managing Primera on remote site
Hello @Dardan
Do you know to which domain names / aliases Primera sends telemetry to? Information is relatively easy to find on other arrays but not for Primera.
It is required to us to open 443 port only for specific domain names.

Re: list of ports for managing Primera on remote site
Hi @steez I think you're referring to Midway servers for 3PAR/Primera/Alletra.
HPE published recently an updated list of URL's that need to be allowed on FW/Proxy.

Re: list of ports for managing Primera on remote site
Thank you for the swift reply @Dardan ! This was exactly what I was looking for. Plus I found an HPE document regarding Infosight connectivity requirements.
