HPFC-5000 + RA4000 FC Array

I have a FC adapter, compaq fibrechannel HPFC-5000C/3.0 based HBA that was once a part of an integrity tandem cluster.
Now its a stand alone server and it is conected on the RA4000 array via fiber optic cable.
The server is running Linux RedHat 9.0 and Kernel 2.4.20 final from Kernel.org
When running the insmod -f cpqfc
it returns a message that the device does not exist, but in de lspci I can see the board properly installed.
viewing the code from the drivers I could see that it was tested on a HPFC-5166a/1.2 chipset.
Is there any relation? the chipset HPFC-5000 is not supported from the latest cpqfc version 2.1.1?
thanks

Re: HPFC-5000 + RA4000 FC Array

with ra4000 , the only supported adapters are old compaq hba's Compaq Fibre Channel HBA, 120186-B21, or the older one in 32 bits. Also, a point-to-point configuration is not supported, but it could work. This HBA was only developed by Compaq , and I don't think your hba support the same instructions. Your driver seems to be for Qlogic hba , not supported for ra4x00, only for ma/ra systems.

Re: HPFC-5000 + RA4000 FC Array

Hiya, I'm a bit behind the times here but I'm simply trying to source Win XP (I know!! :o) ) drivers for use with my HPFC-5000C/3.0 HBA card. Compaq part no.- 241322-001.
An old card I know but will suffice for my needs. Many thanks for your time and patience.
