Secure Path install

I am in the process of building a new server with Windows 2003. I need to install Secure path and Secure Path manager. I haven't installed this before and I need your help now. My question is:

I have the Secure Path 3.1A for Windows CD and upgrade CD for Secure path 4.0A for windows. Can I run the Secure Path 3.1A and upgrade to 4.0A and 4.0C SP2.? Is there any problem in proceeding with this.

Also, do I need to connect the Fibre cable before installing the secure path?

Thanks,
Gopal

Re: Secure Path install

I think you need to start out with SecurePath 4 in order to upgrade to any version of 4. I could be mistaken as it has been a long time since I have needed SP on a Windows box.

It is best to leave the fibre disconnected during the Driver and SP installation and plug them in during the reboot afterwards.
