Re: Slot 6 hp smart array 6400 controller
The configuration for the RAID array is held on the disks, rather than on the controller, so you should not have to configure anything.
Above the battery warning, you can see that the SmartArray controller has found 2 logical drives, so that is not your problem.
I would take a guess that you're getting the non system disk error because the SmartArray controller isn't the boot device. Get into the setup of the server (not the SmartArray) and have a look at the boot order settings.
If you need more help, let us know what model ProLiant you're using.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Slot 6 hp smart array 6400 controller
As Rob says, the disks are correctly connected to the controller because it detects the logical drives.

Re: Slot 6 hp smart array 6400 controller
This is a Hp proliant ML 370 G3.
There are 6 physical hard disk on the server, why is it seeing only 2 logical drive.
when upgrading the firmware, does it take care of the battery fail error as well, or how does the battery get charged.

Re: Slot 6 hp smart array 6400 controller
You have a RAID with 6 disks, and the total space divided on 2 logical drives.
After updating controller firmware we will see if the battery failed message is real or not.
