DRS auto will only move VMs into simplivity nodes but not access nodes

I'm facing this problem where I have 5 simplivity nodes and 5 access nodes. When I set the DRS to automatic, the VMs will move out of the access nodes to the simplivity nodes.

Any ideas to resolve this?

DRS Rules can be created to limit which hosts the VMs can be moved to.

Hiya shang1983:

The SimpliVity Plug-in automatically configures DRS rules to locate virtual machines on the appropriate nodes where their data access would be "local".  Since compute only nodes would never have "data locality", they would never be part of the automatic rules the plug-in maintains.

That said, you could create your own rules to move virtual machines into the compute only nodes with the appropriate conditions, but I am not sure if those rules would then contend with the auto rules... and every 5 minutes your virtual machines move between compute only vs data access nodes.  I'll need to look into that some.  If I find anything, I will post an update.
