Re: HPE Simplivity Adding a host to a Federation failed "OVC not compatible"

@RalphYammine, it's difficult to say with the information provided. Have you checked the deployment logs for any errors showing preceeding the "OVC not compatible" message?

It is possible that there are underlying network issues here preventing the deployment but it will require further investigation, best case would be to open a support ticket with the local team.

I hope this helps,

Re: HPE Simplivity Adding a host to a Federation failed "OVC not compatible"

Hello @RalphYammine

we have faced the same issue while deploying new nodes into an existing cluster. Although all OVCs version are 4.0.0.1249 on the exisitng and the new nodes, the pre-deployment test failed at "cluster compatibility" giving an error that all OVCs version should be 4.0.0.1249.

Try skipping the validation test and force the deployment by doing the following:

1) Login to Deployment manager machine. ( do not start the deployment Manager)
2) Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\SimpliVity\DeploymentManager
3) Edit the file "Simplivity.DM.View.exe.config"
4) Change the value to ‘True’ in following line <add key="PredeployValidationOverride" value=“False"/>
   i.e. <add key="PredeployValidationOverride" value=“True"/>
5) Start the deployment manager and proceed for deployment.

regards,
