New HPE SimpliVity 380
Do some of you have the HPE Simplivity 380 product?
We want to buy 6 of this appliances and have some questions:
Do simlivity have a synchronous replication? Can i scale up the disks? (extend the storage in some years)

Re: New HPE SimpliVity 380
Hi kharjigli
Thank you for writing to us,
HPE SimpliVity does not do “replication”, as that is a volume/LUN-based data move.
HPE SimpliVity does local backups and remote backups. Both are based on a backup schedule determined by the customer, but they are not synchronous.
HPE Simplivity does support Stretch Clusters, which can provide synchronous writes to two locations, but there is a very tight requirement to set up a Stretch Cluster. As for the scale-up of disks, nodes can upgrade storage capacity between models. For example, if you purchased a 380 G 6xSSSD model, it can be upgraded to the 8, 12, 16, or 24 drives model as needed. This will require the customer to upgrade all nodes in the cluster to the same capacity and will require a re-deployment of the node after the capacity upgrade is completed.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh.

Re: New HPE SimpliVity 380
We also have the ability to add space with StoreOnce and Compute nodes.. What kind of applications will you be running?
