Hello,
I'm trying to deploy two Simplivity DL325 Gen10 Plus V2 with NVME disk and NS204i-p.
The node were delivered from the factory in version 4.1.3.
I try to install this node in version 4.1.2 to be part of an existing cluster. I use the 4.1.2 tiny image to boot the node and deploy manager 4.1.2. The installation fail at step 8 with the error bellow. I try with two different node and i have the same issue.
Step 8 of 43: ERR_INVALID_CONFIG: A configuration parameter is invalid. - target.boot could not be determined at /opt/svtdi/hvitool/Plugin/Esxi.pm line 134.
Usually with this error, i use Smart Storage Administrator to delete and recreate the boot disk RAID 1 but it isn't possible with HPE NS204i-p Gen10+ Boot Controller. on this servers DL325 Gen10 V2.
Any idea on this issue?
Regards
Richard

Re: Step 8 of 43: ERR_INVALID_CONFIG: A configuration parameter is invalid with HPE NS204i
Hello @RicT1
Is that the only Storage controller available in the system? I am checking if Deployment Manager will know about that boot controller. Can you provide more details about the hardware, how many disks, type, etc?

Re: Step 8 of 43: ERR_INVALID_CONFIG: A configuration parameter is invalid with HPE NS204i
Hello,
Support for the NS204i-p was not added until 4.1.3 release and not available for versions 4.1.2 and lower. I would recommend an upgrade to your environment then deploy the node with the NS204i-p controller.
