Brocade FOS "Switch Health Report - *BAD_FAN - Switch Marginal"
Hi all,
We have a planned downtime for one of our UPS and one power module of each devices has been disconnected multiple times during the downtime. After that, all our SAN Switches have "BAD_FAN" in MAPSDB and Switch Health Rerport shows marginal health. All switches are healthy and there is no faulty fan on them. I had try to clear MAPSDB dashbaord and history and errors as well but the situation has not changed.
How can I clear the warning?
Device: Brocade 6500 - FOS 8.2

Re: Brocade FOS "Switch Health Report - *BAD_FAN - Switch Marginal"
All switches are healthy and there is no faulty fan on them.
How you know all ok and setup or configuration not affected, most of cases i experience if electric or ups downtime setting lost.
The question downtime for one of our UPS.
1. Is this UPS all devices connected e.g. Server, Storage, Switches ?
Can you once explain the connectivity?

Re: Brocade FOS "Switch Health Report - *BAD_FAN - Switch Marginal"
That was planned downtime. There is no faulty device specially SAN Switch fans.
Becuase all switches shows that fans are ok.
Anyway, if device is healthy, how can I clear MAPSDB warnings compreletly?

Re: Brocade FOS "Switch Health Report - *BAD_FAN - Switch Marginal"
Please find the attached link may be its helpful to you.
Have you tried using "SwitchStatusPolicySet" to set everything to zero? The documentation for that command says setting an item to zero removes it from the calculation of overall switch status. It shouldn't hurt to change them on the fly and worst case you'd still need to do the reset to make the settings take effect.

Re: Brocade FOS "Switch Health Report - *BAD_FAN - Switch Marginal"
I had try to active another SwitchStatusPolicySet and Health Status will be cleared but for a while.
I'll check disabling or set it to zero.
Thank you
