ISL connection between switches
Hi I have SAN Switches on Rack A and Rack B. Both Rack are placed facing each other. Rack A have 2x SN6000B, 3PAR and Servers. Rack B have 2x SN3600B, nimble storage and servers.
Can I connect a ISL connection between SN6000B and SN3600B? I'm thinking of connecting the SAN Switches as ISL so the servers on Rack A can access the storage on Rack B and vice versa.

Re: ISL connection between switches
Hi
conneting ISL is not a problem yuor problem is deferent zoning configuration.
when you connect ISL zoning configurations merge and usually you will get an error and they will not merge.
best way if you can tolarate downtime on any site is to add the zoning from one site to the other.
and then with down time delete the zoning on one site and connect ISL.
if you created the zoning for both sites. correctly it should work.
Regards
