For the purpose of SAN switch migration, how to check the multipathing settings.
1. Where is that to be checked (Server OS or SAN Switch)
2. If its on Server, how to check it on ESXi
3. How to check how many storage ports are zoned to each server
4. Additionally can anyone suggest or guide, what are the pre-checks to be done before SAN switch Migration

SolutionYou can check on the Storage, example for 3PAR, Primera, Alletra MP: showhost -pathsum
Or on ESX:
- Select an ESXi host and click the Configuration tab
- Click Storage Devices.
- Select a mapped LUN or datastore from the list
- Click Properties, In the Properties dialog, select the desired extent, if necessary
- Scroll down to Multipathing Policies
- Choose Paths
or by Datastore View:
