Microwatt metric

We are adjusting a San Switch monitoring and have some details for triggers that we would like to validate are correct, such as the correct microwatt value. We have a value of 300 microwatts as a metric for alerts. Information provided by IBM would you like to confirm if this value is correct?

Re: Microwatt metric

Hello TESTE2,

I understand that you are setting up SAN switch monitoring and are looking for ideal trigger values.
Though 300uW is an acceptable value, I suggest that you refer to the product specifications for the different transceiver models:
https://www.broadcom.com/products/fibre-channel-networking/transceiver-modules

The "Operating Parameters" section contains the Tx / Rx values for the transceiver.

Thanks!
