Erase disks

HI

I have HPE synergy 12000 system and installed ESXi 7 on it on RAID 1 disks. Then I removed RAID 1 logical drive but miracoulously system still boots which means that both disks in RAID 1 even after RAID is removed still have boot partition and ESXi boot

Is there any way to erase disks for example if I want to put different operating system on these disks or destroying them physicaly and buying new disks is the only way.

In Cisco UCS there is a way to scrub the disks in which case all data is destroyed on them. Tried with HPE support but they look kinda suriprised

Anyone has an idea

Re: Erase disks

Hello,

You may use the HPE Smart Storage Administrator GUI user guide on page 36, to erase the logical drive. You may refer to section "6.22", "Options for Erasing Drives" for steps.
