Question on removing a Network (tagged VLAN) from a Network Set
We have a Synergy 12000 chassis, running OneView 8.3
We have a number of Networks (Ethernet - tagged VLAN) created in OneView.
They are all part of a Network Set, that is a member of an Uplink Set on a Logical Interconnect, which has uplinks to the physical core switches.
The Network Set belongs to a Server Profile Template, of which all the VMware ESXi hosts have a server profile belonging to this Server Profile Template.
We have removed the physical VLAN from the physical upstream switches.
We now want to remove/delete the VLAN (Network in Oneview) from OneView.
What is the correct process? Do we just delete it from the Network section and thats it, it will be removed from the Network Set / Logitical Interconnect?
Or do we first remove it from the Network Set, and then delete the Network?
I tried Support, but they have no idea, and were unable to assist on the message I was getting that said the world would end if I deleted the Network (VLAN that is not in use).
Thanks in advance.

Re: Question on removing a Network (tagged VLAN) from a Network Set
Hello,
Please review section "Add or Edit a Multicast VLAN, and Add or Edit a Private VLAN domain" of the HPE OneView 8.3 User Guide for HPE Synergy and see if it could be of assistance.
Regards,

Re: Question on removing a Network (tagged VLAN) from a Network Set
Hello,
Yes thanks, I have viewed those already, and like much of the documentation, it's not at all helpful as there is either no context, or no explaination of the usual "the world will end if you do this" type of messages that appear when you attempt to delete a VLAN for example.
I need to know the process to remove a network, that is part of a network set, which belongs to a logical interconnect that has two uplinks.

Try removing the network from network set. Then delete the VLAN from network.

Re: Question on removing a Network (tagged VLAN) from a Network Set
This is the view within the network set, showing the network i want to remove.
Which should I do?
1. Do I click the little "X" to the right of the network to delete it from the network set?
2. Or do I click on Remove Networks, and will that give me a further option to then select the network i want to remove?

Using which option on that page? "Remove Networks" or the "X"?

I did, seems like no one at HPE knows their own products.
