Hpe Synergy Backup Restore
Anyone have any experience restoring a synergy appliance from a backup? Curious if servers experience any network connectivity issues during the restore. All the profiles and network are the same on the backup we see restoring to.

Re: Hpe Synergy Backup Restore
Hi @kwalampur ,
Please use the below Procedure:
- From the OneView main menu, select Settings, and then select Backup.
- Select Actions > Restore from backup. A dialog box appears.
- Read the onscreen notification and select Select a backup file.
- Do one of the following:
- Drag the backup file and drop it into the indicated text box.
- Click Browse, and then select the backup file to upload.
- Click Upload and restore.
- Wait until the restore process is complete. A status page indicates progress.
- When the restore process completes, you are returned to the login page where you can log in to the restored appliance.
- Upload the firmware bundles used by your server profiles, enclosures, and logical interconnects. These were not saved as part of the backup file. Refer to each profile's Firmware baseline setting to determine the file name for the required baseline.
- If you used HPE OneView to create a custom SPP, recreate the custom SPP after the base SPP and the hot fixes are uploaded to the repository using one of the following methods:
- Use the CMDLET Restore-HPOVCustomBaseline. For more information, see https://hpe-docs.gitbook.io/posh-hpeoneview/cmdlets/v6.50/appliance/restore-ovcustombaseline.
- Use the UI to recreate the custom SPP.
- Verify that the restore operation was successful by logging in to the appliance and successfully resolving any discrepancies that the restore operation cannot resolve automatically
